Furnished vs. unfurnished, with the numbers
Unfurnished three-bedrooms in Charlotte run roughly $2,100–$2,225 a month. That is the honest comparison to start from, and it looks cheaper until you add what it does not include.
Furnishing a three-bedroom for a few months means a furniture-rental contract, a kitchen you have to buy twice, deposits and connection fees at three utility companies plus an internet install with its own appointment window — and then the reverse of all of it when you leave.
