No lodging tax at 90+ days
North Carolina exempts stays of 90 days or more from sales and occupancy tax. A standard 13-week contract lands on the right side of that line and costs 16.25% less than the same house booked nightly.

Extend without moving twice
Assignments extend constantly, and re-housing mid-contract is miserable. Extending here is the same rate with no new application, and we hold your room for 30 days past your end date while you find out whether you are staying.

- Do you work with housing stipends?
- Yes. We provide an itemized invoice and a signed agreement for your agency or employer, and we can bill monthly to line up with how a stipend pays out.
- Can my contract dates move?
- Assignments shift and we plan for it. Tell us as soon as you know, and if the calendar allows we will move your start or extend the end without a penalty.
- Is it really tax free?
- For stays of 90 continuous days or more, North Carolina charges no sales or occupancy tax on the rental. A 13-week contract qualifies. Stays between 30 and 89 days are still taxed, and the quote shows exactly which side of the line you are on.
- Can two of us split it?
- That is what the three bedrooms are for. Everyone 18 or older is named on the agreement and verifies their ID, and each person gets their own door code.
- What happens if my contract extends?
- You keep the same rate, there is no new application, and nothing about the agreement restarts. We also hold your room for 30 days past your end date while you find out — so you are not choosing between committing early and losing the place. Tell us as soon as you hear.
- Can you hold dates before my contract is signed?
- Yes, free, for 7 days. Tick the box when you apply and those nights come off the calendar while your assignment is confirmed. No card and no commitment — if it falls through, tell us and we release it, and if we hear nothing it releases itself.
- Are pets allowed?
- Up to two, with a pet fee. Service animals are always welcome at no charge.
- What if I need to leave early?
- Give 30 days written notice and the deposit comes back in full, less any actual damage. We would rather you tell us early than disappear.
Stay Haynes LLC is owner-run. You deal with Daniel and Hayle directly — for the agreement, the invoice your agency needs, and anything that comes up at 9pm on a Sunday.
